If you have been in the market for new window treatments in Wynnewood, PA for a week or more, you know there are a ton of options. And, the more you learn about one option, the more snowballed your ideas become and the next thing you know you are overwhelmed and teary because you want all of the window treatment options.
Take a deep breath. I’m going to help guide you in the direction of a decision, okay?
You see, you aren’t unique—it’s tough for many homeowners to make a decision about which window treatments to use in their home. After all, there are a lot of beautiful options. The problem is, not all of the options work best for your space.
The experienced staff here at Blinds & Drapery Showroom can help. Not only do we have options to show you (breathe…) and can install them, we can also help you redesign your home with new treatments that make sense for each space in your home.
The living room
Common spaces like the living room don’t really require a lot of privacy. Instead, they demand a lot of natural light and openness to support that “family gathering vibe.” We recommend semi-sheer curtains from floor to ceiling—you know, something to accent the wall and open window, without obstructing the glass too much. If you’re one to host movie nights in your living room—layering wood or faux wood blinds would be a smart addition.
The master bedroom
Your domain, your safe and private space. If yours is on the main floor, it requires more privacy than one on the top floor, above sight lines. Both, though, require natural light. Floor to ceiling black-out drapes with semi-sheer curtains layered behind them allow you the best of both worlds: light when it’s time to get up and dark when you want it most. Not a fan of the drapery layering? Again, look into blinds to layer behind your blackout drapes!
The bathroom
Here’s where it gets tricky. On the one hand, no one wants to shower in a dark bathroom. On the other, no one wants a big gaping window facing the neighbor’s backyard while drying off… There’s a solution: cellular shades. Often referred to as honeycomb or top-down/bottom-up shades, these allow you to walk around in your birthday suit without being seen. Perfect!
The baby’s room
Getting the baby to take a nap in the middle of the day is difficult with the sun shining through the window. We recommend blackout curtains and we will happily custom-make them to match your nursery design. To ensure total darkness, we can install them from floor to ceiling and 18” past the right and left sides of the window so no sunlight can wake up your little angel!
Hopefully, this little break-down helps you to sort out a direction with your windows. Remember, our experts here at Blinds & Drapery Showroom are here to help you—come visit us!
